Lifespace have an exciting opportunity available for a Chief Executive Officerto join their team based in Stratford Upon Avon.This is a permanent role working between 32 to 40 hours per week and offering a competitive salary of £42,500 per annum full time equivalent.
Lifespace is a charity that supports the wellbeing of young people (7 to 19) with one-to-one mentoring, group activities and leadership opportunities. We work in schools, in the community and online across South / Mid Warwickshire. Last year more than 560 young people trusted our mentors to support them when things were tough.

You will be a confident strategic leader who is passionate about making a difference and growing Lifespace further whilst working closely with the Chair and Board of Trustees and supporting a small, committed team of staff and volunteers.
Key responsibilities of the Chief Executive Officer:
Define a clear strategic vision, identify opportunities for growth and ensure that Lifespace is positioned to capitalise on these opportunities. This will involve representing Lifespace in the wider community by building strong and sustainable working partnerships with key stakeholders and other relevant organisations.
Set the culture from the top of the organisation and drive values and behaviours that are aligned to the culture and purpose of Lifespace.
Lead the team to encourage, support and challenge in order to engage team members and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Ensure that volunteers are fully trained, supervised and supported to best represent Lifespace and provide high quality mentoring services for young people.
Oversee the operational direction of Lifespace to ensure that it delivers high quality, effective service provision for young people.
Work closely with the Chair and Board of Trustees to ensure that operational, financial and compliance objectives are met or exceeded.
Manage the operational risk in accordance with the Charity Commission guidelines and in consideration of its key stakeholders, schools, mentors, mentees, parents and funders.
Required Skills and Experience:
You must have experience working with young people aged 7 to 18 and knowledge of the range of services available for children and young people who require support including how these are evolving. Experience of the education sector, mental health and the emotional development of young people is also essential.
You will be an inspiring and motivational leader with proven experience developing, managing, motivating and supporting a team of staff and volunteers.
You must have experience working in the third or related sector
Current or recent experience in a CEO or senior leadership position would be advantageous.
You should have operational experience of business planning, commissioning services and managing risk as well as excellent commercial and financial skills including budget and target setting, monitoring KPI’s and managing performance accordingly.
