Job Description

We are working with Optera who have an exciting opportunity available for an Internal Technical Consultant to join their team. You will join on a full-time, permanent basis and in return receive a competitive salary of £27,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience. This role is office-based, working with the team at Optera’s head office in Stretton-on-Dunsmore, Rugby.


About Optera:

Optera are in the business of delivering high quality building repairs, with specific areas of expertise. They specialise in large and complex structural repairs primarily within the insurance sector. They operate using a mixture of directly employed staff and freelance/subcontracting staff to provide flexible capacity.


About the role:

You will build strong relationships with decision-makers working for our clients and accurately qualify initial leads into the business to determine opportunity. As our Internal Technical Consultant, you will be required to hit monthly KPI targets and deliver a consistent stream of authorisations.


What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the triage and allocation of new business enquires out to the technical team, in conjunction with geography, services portfolio, workload & others. Identifying the motivation of the instruction.

  • Enhance overall relationship with clients through frequent MS teams calls to talk through outline of schemes and establish next steps.

  • Working alongside internal technical managers to ensure visits are arranged in accordance with SLA’s.

  • Updating systems when dealing with claims, making sure all appropriate and claim specific information is filled out accurately on CRM.

  • Working alongside the Office Manager to issue the Monthly MI for key clients, via the Commercial Director.

  • Responsible for sending quotations to clients directly and following up with clients when the quotation has been issued.

  • Working alongside the Senior External Technical Manager to ensure WIP meetings are carried out weekly and diaries updated.

  • Ensure all issues/complaints are logged and tracked to conclusion.

  • Issuing weekly progress reports on new instructions by client/individual and weekly WIP.

  • Working alongside internal technical managers to gain updates on claims and organise/manage all monthly business enquiries.
