We are working with our client Procter and Chester (Measurements) Limited to find a Purchasing Administrator.

Established in 1983, PCM are a leading manufacturer in custom load cells, strain gauge installations and force calibration. We work closely with our customers providing unique engineered solutions in the force measurement field.
PCM are accredited to ISO9001 and UKAS 17025:2017 for force calibration.
Our team works with state-of-the-art machinery in a very clean and desirable, newly refurbished working environment using high specification equipment and computers. We work with exciting, high-profile customers and are considered to be at the cutting edge of our sector. PCM are established and experiencing a period of growth, increasing opportunities for our team to be involved in ground-breaking new technologies and projects.
We are expanding and looking to recruit a Purchasing and Office Administrator who will support the team with stock management, purchase orders, basic work on Sage Accounting and supplier management.
About You.
Have a can-do attitude with the ability to solve problems.
Excellent communication skills with a confident telephone manner.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate to subcontractors, as well as suppliers.
Strong negotiation skills.
Analytical and numerically astute.
Computer literate. Must be a proficient user of Microsoft suite of packages including Excel, Word, Outlook.
Reliable, honest, hardworking and integrity and willing to learn.
Ability to prioritise workload and work to processes.
Enjoys working in an office based team environment.
The Role.
Maintaining physical stock levels to ensure materials are in accordance with manufacturing schedule and minimum stock levels.
Expediting Purchase Orders
Disciplined and accurate approach to materials movement
Supplier management
Liaising with building maintenance contractors.
Goods in documentation and data entry.
General administrative duties
The candidate will benefit from learning new skills in a growing company, being part of a committed and high performing team.
Requirements.
GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or above with demonstrated experience.
1-2 years’ experience in a similar or administrative role
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Sage Accounting or Xero but this is not essential.
Able to work unsupervised, as part of a team and finding better ways in completing tasks.
Good knowledge of English.
Residence and right to work in the UK.
What We Offer
Salary: £24,000 - £28,000, Permanent, Full-Time.
Holidays : 25 days per annum + bank holidays.
37.5 Hr Working Week: Monday-Thursday: 8:30-17:00, Friday: 8:30-14:30.
