We are working with our client Procter and Chester (Measurements) Limited to find a Calibration Technician.

As a Calibration Technician your role will be to undertake calibration of load cells and instrumentation, operating test machines and recording results.
Please note, if you are a candidate who is looking to pursue an apprenticeship or a further education qualification, PCM would also be happy to fully support and fund this.
The main duties of the role are as follows:
· Calibration of load cells and instrumentation to customer specification
· Set up and operation of test machinery
· Handling load cells and precisely positioning them within the test environment
· Applying appropriate forces via the test machinery and capturing the data produced
· Recording test results within excel via accurate data input
· Inspection of mechanical and electrical instrumentation to ensure they function as required
· Carrying out repair and soldering work to load cells
To be successful in the role of Calibration Technician you will need to demonstrate the following attributes and skills:
· Work with accuracy and attention to detail
· Adopt a methodical approach to all tasks
· Be practically minded with good hands-on experience
· Have a willingness to learn, not afraid to ask questions
· Be prepared to carefully read instruction manuals and specifications
· Able to work to deadlines and maintain concentration under pressure
Requirements
GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or above.
Able to work unsupervised as part of a team, with the ability to prioritise and solve problems
What We Offer
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 depending on experience, Permanent, Full-Time.
Holidays : 25 days per annum + bank holidays.
37.5 Hour Working Week: Monday-Thursday: 8:30-17:00, Friday: 8:30-14:30.
