Job Description
Young People First are looking for a passionate and committed youth worker to join the team, working both in schools and youth club settings, to deliver a range of positive activities for vulnerable young people experiencing varied forms of disadvantage.
Young People First works in the Warwick and Leamington area to improve lives by building positive relationships with young people living with disadvantage, their families and their community. We work in partnership with schools, on the streets and with families to enable every young person to overcome challenges and be the best version of themselves.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of the following:
Planning, setting up, running and evaluating group work sessions.
Mentoring young people on a 1-1 basis.
Responding to needs within the school of young people struggling to regulate their emotions.
Working with young people (in an education or youth club setting would be advantageous).
Responding to and reporting safeguarding concerns.
Identifying further opportunities in delivering positive activities for disadvantaged young people.
Keeping registers, writing evaluation reports and inputting data into essential databases.

This is a part-time role of 20 hours per week with a salary between £24,000 and £28,000 per annum (pro-rata) dependant on experience and qualifications.
We sometimes work in areas not always accessible by public transport, therefore access to your own transport would be advantageous.
